Two toddlers swallow '50-100 prescription blood pressure tablets'

The home where two young sisters swallowed up to 100 prescription pills on Thursday was visited by paramedics just nine months ago for the same reason. 

The two girls, aged just one and three, were found passed out on the floor of their Bidwill home, in Sydney’s west, on Thursday just before 4pm.

Their parents told police the sisters had secretly eaten a pile of adult blood pressure tablets.

Police are trying to figure out how two sisters, aged just one and three, managed to swallow up to 100 prescription tablets in their own home, after a similar incident happened under the same roof last year

It’s now been revealed the three-year-old and her brother were taken to hospital last November after taking the same drug under the same roof. 

Police believe the pair swallowed between 50 and 100 pills between them, before their mother found them. 

It’s understood the parents told police the girls were hiding in a cupboard when the incident occurred, reported.  

The one-year-old baby was found unconscious and rushed to the Sydney Children’s Hospital by helicopter. 

The older child was taken to the Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick via ambulance.

Detectives, top over the counter male enhancement pills child abuse squad and family services are now asking serious questions as to how the children gained access to the pills on two separate occasions.

The sisters are now in intensive care in Sydney Children’s Hospital.
